Hi! Thanks for reading more!
About Me
I’m a communications professional with more than 17 years of journalism experience. I’ve served as Director of Media Relations for powersports associations since 2016.
Before that, I worked as front-page editor at USA Today and chief night editor at The Baltimore Sun.
Media Relations Expertise
In my media relations role, I’ve expanded national media outreach for powersports and helped shape public-facing communications campaigns.
I’ve elevated the visibility of motorcycling, ATV riding, and side-by-side driving across diverse audiences. I also cultivate relationships with journalists, influencers, and industry stakeholders nationwide.
Rider Experience and Training
As a longtime on- and off-road motorcyclist and certified MSF RiderCoach, DirtBike School Coach, ATV Safety Institute Instructor, and ROHVA DriverCoach, I bring a rider-first perspective to everything I do.
I’ve led training events and media rides that introduce beginners to two-wheeling.
Spokesperson and Production Skills
I’m also an experienced spokesperson who regularly appears on live TV and serves as a video producer for major campaigns, press events, and educational programs.
In late 2024, I assumed a leadership role as the primary communications contact following a departmental transition.
Mission and Focus
My focus remains on delivering strong, consistent communications across the industry.
I help current and future association members understand how we can collectively make a difference.
I promote the fun, joy, and safety of powersports through all forms of mass media.
Fun Facts
- I teach motorcycle licensing classes in Maryland, but any members of media or influencers can contact me, and I can connect them to training nearly anywhere in the USA.
- I love outdoor adventures.
- I have two dogs, a Belgian Malinois named Turbo and an Anatolian Shepherd named Diesel. (Yep, Turbo Diesel are the type of vehicles I like.)
- I am also a Tai Ji Quan (Tai Chi) instructor.
- I wanted to do a century ride (100 miles in 1 day, pretty much nonstop) on my gravel bicycle this year. I am still hoping to do it, but my training has been a bit hobbled by my knee surgery in December!
